What Does this Study Demonstrate?

This study demonstrates that PBI-4050:

  • Improves triglyceride and glucose metabolism
  • Reduces collagen and galectin-3 deposition in WAT and kidney
  • Reduces ER stress and pro-inflammatory/fibrotic markers in kidney

These results suggest that PBI-4050 is a strong potential candidate for the treatment of metabolic diseases and related diabetic nephropathy.
